FOR FACILITIES
Simplify the transportation conversation
This page is for discharge planners, care coordinators, nursing staff and facility administrators arranging transportation in Southern Maryland. Tell us whether you need an individual trip, a recurring schedule or a discussion about ongoing arrangements.
Hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, dialysis providers and adult day programs can discuss individual trips or recurring transportation arrangements with AmeriCare.
For an emergency call 911
AmeriCare provides non-emergency transportation. If you or the passenger is having a medical emergency, dial 911 immediately. Do not use this website or a quote or ride-request form to request emergency assistance.
Coordinate the essentials
Discharge trips
Include the pickup entrance, expected ready time, receiving destination and an available facility contact. Explain the passenger assistance needed at both ends so AmeriCare can review the arrangement before confirming.
Recurring appointments
Provide the proposed dates, appointment arrival times and return expectations. Let us know which contact can notify us of schedule changes. Recurring arrangements are reviewed and confirmed rather than automatically reserved by an inquiry.
Service arrangements
Discuss who is responsible for payment and who should receive the quote. AmeriCare accepts all major credit cards and cash; insurance and Medicaid are not accepted. Any facility-specific billing arrangement must be discussed directly.
Licensing and driver credentials
AmeriCare is licensed to operate within the state of Maryland. Each of our drivers is trained and certified in CPR and First Aid.
We offer door-to-door and door-through-door service, including assistance from the passenger’s door to the vehicle. A caregiver or family member can ride along; let us know when booking so we can arrange seating.
Start a partnership conversation
Use the Contact page for an initial facility inquiry, including your organization, role, contact number and transportation needs. Use the ride-request form when you are ready to provide details for a specific passenger trip.
Send your facility name, coordinator contact information and the type of transportation you need. Share an approximate schedule or volume without including patient records.
